Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Starlit Insights collects, why, and what we do with it. It applies to starlitinsights.com and to any consultation booked through it.

1. Our position

A consultation requires personal information — your exact time of birth, and often the reason you are asking. We treat that as confidential. We do not sell, rent, trade or share it for advertising, and we never will.

2. What we collect

• Contact details — the name and email address you give when booking.
• Birth details — date, time and place of birth, required to compute the chart.
• Your note — the short description of what you would like read.
• Working notes — notes we make while preparing and delivering the consultation.
• Payment records — transaction reference and amount returned to us by the payment gateway. We never see or hold your card number, UPI ID, CVV or bank credentials.

The Site is a static page. The sidereal sign calculator on the home page runs entirely inside your own browser — the date you enter there is never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and is not stored.

3. Why we collect it

• To prepare and deliver the consultation you booked.
• To contact you about your appointment.
• To request payment after the session and keep lawful financial records.
• To answer questions you send us.

We do not use your information for marketing without your explicit consent.

Reviews, and the one form that leaves your device

Every tool on this site computes on your own device and sends nothing anywhere. Our Reviews page is the single exception. Both the wall of published reviews and the form for leaving one are provided by Famewall and run on their servers, so displaying them connects your browser to Famewall, which can see your IP address in the ordinary course of serving the content.

Neither loads until you have either accepted optional storage or pressed the button on that page. If you submit a review, the name, text and any image you provide go to Famewall and are shared with us, and are published here with the date attached. Famewall's own privacy terms govern what they do with it. If you never open that page, nothing is ever sent, and no other page on this site contacts them.

4. Who else processes it

• Scheduling provider — receives your name, email, birth details and note, because these are collected on the booking form.
• Payment gateway — receives your name, email and payment instrument details. We receive only a transaction confirmation.
• Video conferencing provider — used to hold the call.
• Static web host — standard server logs may record IP addresses.

We share your data with no one else, except where legally required.

5. Cookies and local storage

We set no cookies of our own, and run no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts of any kind.

We do use local storage in your browser for one purpose only: to remember birth details and a chosen city that you have typed into the interactive tools, so you are not asked for them again on a return visit. This information is written to your own device, is never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and we cannot read it. You can erase it at any time using the “Forget” button beside the saved details, by declining on the storage notice shown on your first visit, or by clearing site data in your browser.

The embedded booking calendar sets its own cookies when you interact with it, which are necessary for it to function and are governed by that provider’s privacy policy.

A notice on your first visit asks whether you consent to the optional items. Strictly necessary storage is used either way; nothing optional is written unless you accept, and refusing costs you no functionality. You may withdraw or change that consent at any time:

6. Retention

Birth details and consultation notes are kept only as long as needed to serve you and answer follow-up questions — normally no more than 24 months — then deleted. Financial records are retained for the period required by Indian tax law.

7. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, and the Site is served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.

8. Your rights

You may ask us at any time to tell you what we hold about you, correct anything inaccurate, delete your birth details and notes, or stop contacting you. Write to starlitinsights24@gmail.com and we will respond within 2 business days. Deletion requests are honoured except where a record must be kept for legal or accounting reasons.

9. Children

The Service is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version is published here with an updated date.
